This musical is based on the fairy tale Cinderella. However, by changing the settings so that the musical is set in modern times, teenagers and children can better relate to the characters. The musical carries the lesson that one should remain true to themselves and not change their character or appearance just to fit into what society thinks is the norm. It also spreads the message that everyone should follow their dreams and strive for the best that they can achieve.
